O Rabaça

In 1980, João da Ponte Rabaça, opened a tavern to serve local wine and snacks to fishermen and workers of the Porto dos Carneiros, the fishing harbor in Lagoa. He succeeded in gathering loyal customers, so many that the original space was not enough.
In 1990 Rabaça decided to improve the space in order to better welcome guests. Maintaining the heart of Rabaças welcoming tradition, more functional, the place began to attract outsiders by mouth to mouth promotion only. Today, Rabaça stays true to its early days: snacks, a wide variety of meat dishes and, the most important, fish always fresh, right from the harbor in front – a 100 steps, round trip. A generous and competent kitchen and a service that honors the spirit of the house.
